Collaboration with local and regional actors
Lounaispaikka is the hub in South-Western Finland for regional co-operation in the field of GIS. Their focus is on regional GIS-data. Their network gathers all important actors under one roof. Network began its operations already in 2002 and quickly grew to be the region’s center for GIS-related activities and data.
UTU Geospatial Labs collaborates with the Regional council of SouthWest Finland in planning and GIS related issues. Both are a part of the founding members of Lounaispaikka.
The Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment of Southwest Finland (ELY-center) is responsible for the regional implementation and development tasks of the central government.
UTU Geospatial Labs also works in collaboration with the city of Turku through different projects.
